MPA 4.0%

Monty’s Pale Ale is a 4% session ale.

Brewed using Maris Otter barley, it gives this beer a beautifully light colour, inviting the customer to drink it all year round.

MPA has gentle malt flavours and soft hop aromas with hints of grapefruit and lychee. It has a light bitterness, making it the beer of choice to work with a wide range of foods in a restaurant, but also the beer of choice for customers who are just out for a drink.

It’s Monty’s biggest selling cask ale, easily quaffable and a favourite wherever its sold.

This beer is only available in Cask.

“This is a beer with enough hit and drive to work with a great steak, spicy foods, or strong cheeses.” Nigel Barden Radio presenter.

“The golden jewel in Monty’s crown is this easy-sipping summer slaker; floral with a dry apricot finish” Ben McFarland - 500 of the World’s Finest Craft Brews.

NAVIGATION PALE 4.0%

Monty’s Navigation Pale ale. This Welsh beer will be helping to support the restoration project between the Shropshire Union Canal near Oswestry towards Powys. Monty’s will be donating to the fund with every pint sold.

A lightly hopped 4.0% pale ale with a great blend of cascade, delta, admiral and tetnang hops. Its easy drinking with a nice dry bitter finish. Not overly hopped, just enough after a long walk along the canal!

The canal society needs up to £600,000 to restore the next section of the Shropshire Union Canal between Crickheath Wharf towards Powys. Monty’s were specifically asked by the volunteers to create a beer, being a producer of fine real ales and local to the project, giving it low delivery mileage to its customers.

The beer was created and the volunteer “navvies” gave it a big thumbs up and approval on its first tasting.

Currently available in 500ml bottles.
