Monty's MPA is dry and lightly hopped with a grapefruit aroma and a hint of lycheee.	Multi award winning dark creamy stout, full of dark fruit and roasted malt flavours.


Manjana is a nut brown bitter with malt character, well supported by a hop bitterness.	A golden strong bitter, refreshing and easily quaffable for a 5% ale. An award winning bitter.

Ludlow Food Spring Festival

The Ludlow Spring Festival is a weekend event, centred on Ludlow Castle, where the emphasis is on enjoying some of the great food and drink produced in and around Ludlow and the Marches, coupled with live music and other entertainment for all the family.

This year SIBA have partnered with the festival organisers to bring over 150 real ales from over 50 independent brewers across the Wales and West region – the result being the most spectacular beer festival the region has to offer. With a live music stage, located within the marquee, you can enjoy great beer while listening to some top names in music all inside Ludlow Castle, the most impressive pub we've ever frequented! Best of all Monty's will be there too!

Most of the ales will be entered into the SIBA Wales & West Beer Competition. The judging for this will be taking place on Friday 11th May, and the winners will be announced the same day.

Monty’s Brewery is proud to be the first brewery in Montgomeryshire since the Eagle Brewery closed in the 1980’s. Hophouse Inns Opens "The Abermule".

Monty's Brewery's sister company Hophouse Inns has now re-opened The Abermule (formerly the Abermule Hotel). The beer is flowing nicely and soon we will be serving some of Ifor's Welsh Wagyu too.

Monty's on tap at The Sportsman

The Sportsman on Severn Street in Newtown is Monty’s Brewery tap. There are five Monty’s beers on tap, plus two notable guest real ales and traditional cider. Monty’s Brewery managed to secure the talents of Miss England finalist Amy Willerton to promote their Award winning Monty’s Mischief.

Monty’s Mischief is a strong golden bitter with initial punches of hops on the pallet, subtle malt character aftertaste, refreshing and easily quaffable for a 5% ale. It is a SIBA 2011 regional award winner, getting a bronze in the strong bitters category at Ludlow in the Wales and West competition. Everyone loves a little bit of Mischief !
